Mechanical Designer

Job Description:

The successful candidate would work alongside other designers and Process Engineers to design world class food, chemical and pharmaceutical processing systems. Create piping/vessel arrangement drawings using P&ID and customer specifications consisting of 3D models, detail drawings and Bill of Materials. The ability to work within client-driven deadlines is a plus.

Key Roles:

  • Work directly with other designers and engineers to prepare models from conceptual designs to final product documentations.

  • Analyze various design requirements and recommend possible solutions or alternate constructions.

  • Create orthographic or isometric illustrations as required for client understanding of the design.

Education

  • A degree in a related field is preferred, but not required.

Qualifications

  • Experience using CAD tools (Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD and Inventor) in the creation of complex electromechanical and piping models, structural platforms, HVAC ducting, process equipment room layouts, fabrication and assembly drawings.

  • Experience designing with cost and ease of manufacturability in mind.

  • Thorough understanding of industrial process systems, spatial awareness.

  • Ability to assist during construction phase with outside contractors as required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Enjoy working on a team to solve complex problems

  • Microsoft Office, Excel, AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit, and Inventor

  • Strong analysis and problem-solving skills.

  • Self-starter, able to work independently.

  • Possess strong interpersonal skills.


Electrical Engineer

Job Description:

Successful candidate would work alongside other engineers of various disciplines in the creation of one-line power, electrical control and PLC I/O drawings used in typical process control systems. Analysis and the design of electrical power and control systems ranging from medium to low voltage applications.

Key Roles:

  • Work directly with clients to identify project needs and desired outcomes.

  • Design electrical power and distribution systems.

  • Design motor control systems utilizing motor control centers and distributed custom designed panels.

  • Work with other engineering disciplines to deliver successful projects.

Education

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Professional Engineering License preferred.

Qualifications

  • 5 to 7 years working in a process related environment designing power and PLC based control systems.

  • Experience in the creation of Arc Flash Analysis using SKM’s or equivalent software tools

  • Experience designing medium and low voltage power distribution systems.

  • In depth knowledge of automation and electrical controls and how these technologies are applied to industrial process systems.

  • Experience in the creation of complex control systems for processing of liquids and powders in the Food/Beverage and other processing industries.

  • Experience with reading P&ID drawings including, equipment, component and instrumentation and specification.

  • Experience integrating OEM supplied specialized equipment and packaging systems.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Enjoy working on a team to solve complex problems.

  • Microsoft Office Tools

  • AutoCAD Electrical

  • SKM Power Tools for system modeling and Arc Flash analysis.

  • Thorough understanding of industrial process systems with an emphasis on automation and controls

  • Ability to work with electrical contractors during the construction phase of projects.


Process DESIGN Engineer

Job Description:

The Process Design Engineer will directly work with our clients and other engineers to design and develop new processes, improve existing processes, and work on facility improvement projects for a variety of clients in the Food/Beverage, Chemical, Pharmaceutical and other related industrial process industries. A Professional Engineering (P.E) license is not necessary but, would be preferred.

Key Roles:

  • Work directly with clients to identify project needs, develop project scopes, and desired outcomes.

  • Design and develop new processes and process equipment to meet the production and manufacturing needs of our clients.

  • Work closely with our clients and other engineering disciplines to deliver successful projects and help solve production issues.

  • Oversee and coordinate designs with other engineers, designers, and CAD personnel.

  • Interact with contractors to assist with construction activities as necessary.

  • Work with our Automation team to fully commission and make operational new or modified process mechanical designs.

Education

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, Professional Engineering License preferred.

Qualifications

  • 5 to 7 years working in a process design environment.

  • 1+ years of project management.

  • Knowledge of automation and electrical controls and how these technologies are applied to process design.

  • Experience in the creation of complex electromechanical and piping models for processing of liquids and powders in the Food/Beverage and other processing industries.

  • Experience with reading and design of P&ID drawings including, equipment, component and instrumentation selection and specification.

  • Experience integrating OEM supplied equipment and packaging systems.

  • Experience in the layout of processing rooms for efficient manufacturing.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Enjoy working on a team to solve complex problems

  • Microsoft Office, Excel, AutoCAD, and Inventor

  • Strong analysis and problem-solving skills.

  • Able to work independently.

  • Able to work with contractors during construction activities.
