A Journey in Automation: Meet Sam Miller, Our New Integration Pro
ESC proudly welcomed Sam Miller to our Integration Services team in March 2025.
Sam brings a wide-ranging background that makes him a well-rounded and valuable addition to our team. He began his career with a utility contractor and later worked as a utility lineman for a small municipality. Seeking to expand his skillset, Sam completed the Industrial Maintenance program at Vatterott College, which launched him into a six-year role as a Controls Designer at West Plains Automation and Controls. There, he focused on designing and programming control systems for the aggregate and wood industries.
After that, Sam took on a Maintenance Electrician position at Kraft Foods—where he first crossed paths with ESC. He later joined Multi-Craft Contractors (MCC), starting as a field electrician. He earned his Master Electrician license, managed their UL 508A panel shop, and eventually served as Division Manager, spending 17 years total at MCC, 14 of those in leadership.
Throughout his time at MCC, Sam had continued run-ins with ESC employees—connections that spanned nearly two decades. He says it was ESC’s culture that ultimately won him over: how we treat our team and our clients, and how we stay committed to doing what’s right. Those values were the deciding factors in him joining our team.
Outside of work, Sam and his wife enjoy time at home—but are also pros at hitting the road for their kids’ sports events (as all parents of athletes know!). They have three grown children who’ve blessed them with four grandchildren, and two more kids still at home—one in high school, the other in junior high. When he’s not chasing kids around the country, Sam enjoys golf and bow hunting.
We’re thrilled to have Sam on board and can’t wait to see the expertise and energy he brings to ESC’s Integration Services team!
